Grieving the death of a loved one is a unique process for each person, with no prescribed path or timetable. Gilchrist Hospice Care helps those left behind to better understand and cope with their grief and to work through the process in their own individual ways.

For 13 months after the death of a loved one, our experienced grief counselors and specially trained volunteers provide grief support to family and friends of our patients as well as to anyone in the community grieving a loss. Services are available for both adults and children, most without charge.

Dates and times of our various Grief Support Groups can be found on our calendar.

In addition to our regular grief support offerings, Gilchrist Hospice Care offers community education on request. We can provide educational programs about a wide variety of topics relevant to anyone who has suffered the death of a loved one. Programs can be offered to groups and organizations such as churches, funeral homes, businesses, retirement communities, nursing homes, civic groups and schools.
