Gilchrist Hospice Care has been providing the finest in end of life care for terminally-ill residents of Central Maryland and the families they will leave behind since 1994. Founded as Hospice of Baltimore, the organization adopted its new name – Gilchrist Hospice Care – in 2008 in recognition of the significant contributions of its founding benefactor, Jeanne “Jinny” Gilchrist Vance, who died in 2003 and was the driving force behind the creation of the organization.

Over the past decade and a half-plus, Gilchrist has continued to grow and expand, adding services and winning awards. Today, we are proud to be nationally-recongized as among the best hospices in the United States.
